A native Seattleite, Kiet is a senior in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, specializing in Biomechanics. He currently researches the effects of pressure blasts on the hydraulic conductivity of bEnd.3 cells in the Neurotrauma and Repair Laboratory. He will be teaching secondary physics in the Mississippi Delta as part of Teach For America before heading to medical school.
Born and grew up in Mauritius, a small island off the southeast coast of Africa, Annabelle is a senior at Columbia University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus in Biomechanics. Her hobbies include dancing, kickboxing and hiking. She also enjoys traveling.
Born in China and currently residing in New York, Min Ye is a senior at Columbia University majoring in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on Cell and Tissue Engineering. Outside of class, she enjoys researching the microrheological properties of cells under Dr. Hayden Huang. She is also an active member of the Columbia University chapter of Engineers Without Borders, where she is designing a water filtration system for a school in Soroti, Uganda. After graduation, Min Ye hopes to enter medical school to become a pediatrician.
Leeanna grew up in the Caribbean and studied Applied Mathematics at the University of the Virgin Islands. Currently she is completing her senior year at Columbia University majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Imaging. She enjoys listening to music and is involved in Relay For Life, Community Impact, and the Equestrian Club at Columbia University.
Originally from Georgia, Indrias is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, with a specialization in Imaging Modalities. He plans on pursuing a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. He recently interned in the Ultrasound and Elasticity Imaging Lab under the guidance of Professor Konofagou. He worked with the Blood Brain Barrier and developing a safe method for therapeutic drug delivery to the brain. Also he converted 2D MRI mouse brain images into 3D images in order to quantify intensity changes over time. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and listening to live music.
